As mentioned i have a 1.9 TDI (105bhp) BKC engine Mk5 Golf, it feels underpowered, as ive driven several of these mk5 1.9 tdi's and i know what sort of power it has. Though the turbo does kick in, it doesnt feel quiet enough. When the car is driven to around 60-70mph, it normally goes into limp mode. Sometimes it can happen before reaching 60.. • EPC and ESP lights came on, power was cut way down (flooring it does nothing) • Pulled over, shut car off for a couple minutes • When I started it again, warning lights turned off, car ran fine for 50 miles • Then the EPC and ESP lights came on again, this time along with the check engine light, power was cut again

Could it be something the garage have done when changing the thermostat if so what could it be, thanks .. comes up check esp and loss of power steering . on diagnostic it appears to be a fault with the steering wheel angle sensor (intermittent) . located on the steering column just under the steering wheel. a good diagnostic machine can do a steering angle calibration and shoud fix the problem. . however i have found turning the car off. and releasing the steering wheel release leaver and moving.
